How IlmHubb collects, uses, and protects your personal information

DreamByte Studio ("we", "us", or "our") operates the IlmHubb mobile application and web platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use IlmHubb — Your Islamic Companion.

Our Commitment: IlmHubb is built on the Islamic principle of Amanah (trust). We are committed to protecting your privacy and will never sell your personal data to third parties. Your data is used solely to improve your experience with the app.

By using IlmHubb, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

SECTION 01

📋Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly

  • Account registration details: name, email address, and password
  • Profile information you choose to add (display name, preferences)
  • Custom habits, tasbeeh records, and Quran reading progress you create
  • Messages sent to our AI Islamic Assistant (AI Chat feature)

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: device model, operating system, unique device identifiers
  • Usage data: features accessed, screens viewed, time spent in-app
  • Location data: GPS coordinates for prayer times and Qibla direction (only when you grant permission)
  • Log data: IP address, app crashes, performance data

C. Information from Third Parties

  • If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google
  • Analytics data from Google Firebase (aggregated, anonymized)

SECTION 02

⚙️How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the IlmHubb Service
  • Calculate accurate prayer times based on your location
  • Show Qibla direction using your GPS coordinates
  • Personalize your Islamic learning experience
  • Sync your progress (Quran bookmarks, habits, tasbeeh counts) across devices
  • Process and respond to your AI Chat queries using Groq LLaMA AI
  • Send prayer time notifications (only if you enable them)
  • Improve app performance and fix technical issues
  • Comply with legal obligations
We do NOT use your data for: Selling to advertisers, political profiling, sharing with data brokers, or any purpose inconsistent with providing an Islamic companion service.

SECTION 03

🔒Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider with enterprise-grade security. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).

  • Authentication is handled through secure Supabase Auth with JWT tokens
  • Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed using bcrypt
  • Row-Level Security (RLS) ensures each user can only access their own data
  • AI chat messages are processed by Groq's API and not permanently stored on their servers beyond the session
  • Local data (tasbeeh counts, habits) is stored on your device using secure local storage

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).

SECTION 04

🔗Third-Party Services

IlmHubb integrates the following third-party services to deliver its features. Each has its own Privacy Policy:

  • Supabase — Database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
  • Groq AI — Powers AI Islamic Assistant (groq.com/privacy)
  • AlQuran.cloud — Quran text and audio API (no personal data shared)
  • AlAdhan.com — Prayer times API (no personal data shared)
  • HadithAPI.com — Hadith database API (no personal data shared)
  • Google AdMob — Advertising platform (see Section 5)
  • OpenStreetMap / Overpass API — Masjid location data (no personal data shared)
  • Google Sign-In — Optional authentication method (accounts.google.com/privacy)

We only share the minimum necessary data with these services to make IlmHubb work properly.

SECTION 05

📢Advertising

IlmHubb uses Google AdMob to display advertisements that help keep the app free. We have implemented strict content filtering to ensure all ads are appropriate for a Muslim audience.

  • We block all ads related to: dating, gambling, alcohol, tobacco, adult content, and other content prohibited in Islam
  • Ad content rating is set to "Everyone (G)" — the most family-friendly setting
  • We use Ad Review Center to manually review ads before they appear
  • Sacred screens (Quran Reader, Namaz, Duas, Tasbeeh, Wudu) are permanently ad-free
Ad-Free Sacred Screens: Out of respect for Islamic content, we will never display advertisements on screens containing Quran, prayer guides, duas, or tasbeeh. This is our permanent commitment.

AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).

SECTION 06

👶Children's Privacy

IlmHubb includes a Kids Corner section designed for children's Islamic education. We take children's privacy very seriously.

  • The Kids Corner section does not require account creation or collect any personal data from children
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
  • The Kids Corner contains no advertisements whatsoever
  • If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately

IlmHubb's account-based features are intended for users aged 13 and above. Users under 13 may use the app in guest mode without creating an account.

SECTION 07

⚖️Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Update or correct any inaccurate information in your profile
  • Deletion: Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Portability: Receive your data in a portable format (JSON/CSV)
  • Opt-out: Disable notifications, location access, or personalized ads at any time
  • Withdraw Consent: Revoke any previously granted permissions

SECTION 08

📧Changes & Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by sending an in-app notification or email. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.

Continued use of IlmHubb after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the IlmHubb mobile application and web service operated by DreamByte Studio (SMC-Private) Limited, a company registered in Pakistan (SECP Registration No. pending), with offices at CEGA Gaming & Animation Centre, Karachi, Pakistan.

Agreement: By downloading, installing, or using IlmHubb, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, please uninstall and discontinue use of the application.

SECTION 01

✅Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using IlmHubb, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 13 years of age (or have parental consent if under 18)
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • You will use IlmHubb in accordance with Islamic principles and these Terms
  • You have read and understood our Privacy Policy

These Terms apply to all users including registered users, guest users, and visitors to our web platform.

SECTION 02

📱Use of the Service

IlmHubb grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes. The Service includes:

  • Quran reading with Arabic text, transliteration, and translations
  • Hadith collections from authentic books (Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi, etc.)
  • Prayer times based on your location
  • Namaz and Wudu step-by-step guides
  • Qibla direction using device compass
  • AI Islamic Assistant powered by Groq LLaMA
  • Daily Islamic quiz (MCQ)
  • Tasbeeh digital counter
  • Duas, Wazifa, 99 Names of Allah
  • Islamic habit tracker and Zakat calculator
  • Masjid finder, Islamic calendar, and events
  • Kids Corner for Islamic education

SECTION 03

👤User Accounts

To access certain features, you may create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate and truthful registration information
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized account access

You may also use IlmHubb as a guest without creating an account. Guest users have access to core features but progress will not be synced across devices.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are inactive for more than 12 months, or are found to be used for fraudulent purposes.

SECTION 04

☪️Islamic Content & Disclaimer

IlmHubb provides Islamic content for educational and spiritual purposes. Please note:

  • Quran text is sourced from authenticated digital Quran databases (AlQuran.cloud)
  • Hadith collections are sourced from HadithAPI.com based on published hadith books
  • Prayer times are calculated using established Islamic calculation methods
  • Duas and Wazifas are compiled from recognized Islamic scholarly sources
Important Disclaimer: IlmHubb is an educational tool and does not replace qualified Islamic scholarship. For matters of Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh), personal religious decisions, or legal Islamic rulings (Fatwas), please consult a qualified Islamic scholar (Alim). The AI Assistant provides general Islamic information and should not be treated as a Fatwa.

We strive for accuracy in all Islamic content. If you notice any error in Quranic text, Hadith, or other Islamic content, please report it immediately to dreambyte.space@gmail.com.

SECTION 05

🤖AI Islamic Assistant

The AI Chat feature in IlmHubb is powered by Groq's LLaMA 3.3 70B language model. By using this feature, you acknowledge:

  • AI responses are generated automatically and may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • AI responses do not constitute Islamic Fatwas or scholarly rulings
  • You should verify important Islamic information with qualified scholars
  • Do not share sensitive personal information in AI chat conversations
  • Conversations are processed by Groq's API infrastructure

Free tier users receive 5 AI messages per day. Additional messages require watching a rewarded advertisement. We reserve the right to modify these limits.

You agree not to use the AI Assistant to generate content that contradicts Islamic teachings, is offensive, or violates these Terms.

SECTION 06

IlmHubb and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by DreamByte Studio (SMC-Private) Limited and are protected by intellectual property laws.

  • The IlmHubb name, logo, and brand identity are trademarks of DreamByte Studio (trademark application filed with IPO Pakistan)
  • The app's source code, UI design, and original content are copyrighted
  • You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission

Third-party content (Quran text, Hadith, prayer time data) remains the property of their respective sources and is used under their terms of service.

SECTION 07

🚫Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to use IlmHubb to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Spread content that contradicts authentic Islamic teachings
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code
  • Use automated bots to access the Service
  • Manipulate or abuse the AI Chat system
  • Attempt to circumvent the 5 free message limit fraudulently
  • Upload harmful, abusive, or offensive content
  • Impersonate other users or DreamByte Studio staff
  • Interfere with the security or integrity of the Service
  • Use the Service for commercial purposes without written authorization

SECTION 08

⚠️Disclaimers

IlmHubb is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times
  • Prayer times will be 100% accurate in all geographic locations
  • Qibla direction will be precise on all devices (compass accuracy varies by device)
  • AI responses will always be accurate or complete
  • The Service will be available in all countries or regions

Prayer times are calculated using standard Islamic methods and should be verified with local mosque announcements for absolute accuracy.

SECTION 09

⚖️Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DreamByte Studio shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of IlmHubb
  • Loss of data resulting from service interruptions
  • Decisions made based on AI Assistant responses
  • Inaccuracies in prayer times, Qibla direction, or Islamic calendar dates
  • Third-party service failures (Supabase, Groq, AdMob, etc.)

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or use of IlmHubb shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which for free users is PKR 0).

SECTION 10

🏛️Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of IlmHubb shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.

We encourage resolving disputes amicably. Please contact us first at dreambyte.space@gmail.com before initiating any legal proceedings. Most issues can be resolved within 7 business days.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
